Asympt Man is all of us. 

 

Asymptote / asim(p)tote noun : a function that approaches a given value or status but does not ever resolve at any finite position or time.

 

The asymptote is a metaphor for human evolution, chasing infinity, but never being capable of achieving perfection in society or humankind. As the ascent of man approaches the pinnacle of knowledge and understanding, the greater our ignorance and fallibility unfolds. The clearer it becomes that our world has regressed and failed in a quest for peace and equality, through the ascendancy of greed, fear and hysteria.

 

Asympt Man is a collaborative and creative communication project, which uses musical-visual artworks to explore the issues of societal imbalance and promote actions of thoughtfulness, compassion and engagement, in order to continue the primal quest for infinity.

The release will be followed by a short UK tour, including venues in Leeds, Bristol and Cambridge, and completing with a headline show at The Water Rats in London on Friday 14 September 2018.

​

Chasing Infinity is also released as an interactive iPhone app, incorporating a unique stems mixer feature, and is available for free download in the Apple App Store on 20 July 2018. Search ‘Asympt Man’ to access.
